In this report, we describe the sig- nal processing and control algorithm of

4、a device with two omnidirectional microphones on a fixed baseline and two rotational degrees of freedom. Experimental results with real data are reported w ith both impulsive and speech sounds in an untreated, normally reverberant indoor environment. We further discuss two more approaches, one using

Interaural Intensity (or Level) Difference is the primary horizontal cue in higher frequencies (above 4KHz), which correspond to wavelengths smaller than the size of the ear. Spectral Cues are due to the fact that the spectral characteristics of a perceived sound are affected by the presence of ones outer ears, head and torso. Spectral cues extend our perception into the vertical plane.
