2、s paper presents an architecture of Computer Integrated Production System in Thermal Power Plant(TPP-CIPS). This architecture is a successful model with a three-dimensional space based on hierarchial dimension,view dimension and life period dimension. Hierarchial view includes Management Information

3、 System (MIS), SupervisoryInformation System (SIS) and process automation systems such as Distributed Control System (DCS). View dimensionincludes function view, resource view, organization view and information view. Life period view includes system analyses,system design, system implementation, ope

6、spersedmanufacturing and the target model is centralized at integrationof CAX (CAD/CAPP/CAM/CAE), PDM and MRPII. Integrationof flow enterprise is in the ascendant now all over the world.Flow enterprise is similar to dispersed manufacturing on somesides and quite different on other sides. For flow en

7、terprise,CIMS should be called Computer Integrated Production System(CIPS) or integration automation system for whole plantResearch on CIPS of power plant is almost a blank space forpower enterprises in most countries. 9、d havemade progresses and have had experiences in developingintegration of management and control of power plants. Theselatest harvests have been applied in some modern powerplants. It is gradually forming an important level of integrationof management and control between traditional DCS and MIS.The

10、 system could optimize management of real time processof the whole plant. On one hand, its functions are to realizeoperation optimization, load distribution, economy analysis,equipment diagnosis, equipment status maintenance andequipment life management, etc. On the other hand, it couldtransmit data

11、 to the management system of MIS of business,archives, OA and so on. In the physical configuration, this levellies between DCS with high precision, high speed and highreliability and MIS which doesnt affect safe operation. Thissystem is an important research item now, which is calledSupervisory Info

12、rmation System (SIS) To set up an integration model for power plant, especially largesize thermal power plant could bring evident economic benefitsto power plants. This paper based upon the thorough study ofit, will put forward a three dimensional space architecture whichis called Computer Integrate

13、d Production System for large sizethermal power plant (TPP-CIPS). 2. Hierarchy Model of TPP-CIPS Hierarchy model is a structure description of CIMS, it is a baseof design and realizing CIMS. Large size thermal power plantTPP-CIPS is an industrial integration automation systemwhichgives priority to p

14、rocess control and supervisory analysismanagement. Referring to Purdue Reference Model, this paperputs forward a hierarchy model with five levels and twosustaining systems. See Figure 1. Five level models and theirmain functions are: Field control level: this level is the base automation level ofpow

15、er plant, which controls the process directly including variousmeasurements, instruments and actuators. Function control level: this level is to control the technologicalsystem of each functional group level, such as combustioncontrol system, feedwater control system, steam control systemetc. in the DCS of main power building. Unit control level: this level is the workshop machine hall controllevel of power plant, which controls each unit and balancesystems of power plant such as DCS of
