车轮定位值在汽车使用过程中,由于车架、车轴、 转向机构的变形与磨损,改变了原有的几何角度与尺寸数值,导致车轮定位失准。
此时当 汽车行驶时,转向车轮在向前滚动的同时,将会产生横向滑移现象,即车轮侧滑。
实践证 明,车轮的侧滑量会造成滚动阻力、轮胎磨损、运行油耗等方面的增加,造成转向沉重、 行驶方向稳定性变差,增加驾驶员的劳动强度等,极易形成行车事故的潜在危险。
因此, 对汽车进行车轮定位的检验是车辆年检中必不可少的一项。
汽车车轮定位的检测,有静态检测法和动态检测法两种。
静态检测法是在汽车停止的 状态下,使用测量仪器对车轮定位值进行几何角度的测量;动态检测法是在汽车以一定车 速行驶的状态下,用测量仪器或设备检测车轮定位失准产生的侧向力或由此引起的车轮侧 滑量。
车辆年检中一般都采用动态检测法测量转向轮的侧滑量,侧向滑移量的大小与方向 可用汽车侧滑检测台来检测。
机动车运行安全技术条件规定:汽车转向轮的横向滑移 量用汽车侧滑检测台检测时,侧滑量应不大于 5m/km。
