The project consisted of the design, construction, and demonstration of a pulse width modulated (PWM) dc motor speed controller for application in a lightweight electric vehicle. The basic specifications at the outset of the project were: * The controller should operate over
6、 a range of voltages from 24 V to 48 V. * The controller should be able to handle a current load of at least 100 A rms. * PWM operation should be in the inaudible frequency range (recommended 20 kHz). * Under-voltage, over-current, and temperature protection must be employed. * Budgeted expenditures must not exceed $500.00.
