In order to optimize the resources of the students dormitories and improve the managerial efficiency, various mana
4、gement information systems (MIS) are emerging. A MIS for the students dormitories (MIS-for-SD) based on Web application is designed and realized in this thesis. The MIS-for-SD is a private system with security and effectiveness that is special designed for Chengdu University of Information Technolog
5、y (CUIT). Several kinds of technologies are used in the MIS-for-SD, such asVB, , Web services and so on. The database for the MIS-for-SD is Microsoft SQL (SQL Server 2000). The major functions in the MIS-for-SD include: search (including quick search and classificatory search), insertion, modificati
6、on, deletion, statistic and so on, for the information of the students dormitories. It is convenient to manage the students dormitories for a manager according to the accommodation through the MIS-for-SD. Also, the manager can efficiently arrange the accommodation to freshmen except for dormitories daily management.
