2、环，又可称为水的社会循环。 在水的人工循环中，人类与自然在水质、水量等方面都存在着巨大的矛盾， 这些矛盾的有效控制和解决，是通过建设一整套工程设施来实现的，着一整 套工程设施的组合体就称为给水排水工程。所以，给水排水工程就是在某一 特定范围内（如一个城市或一个工厂等） ，研究水的人工循环工艺和工程的 技术科学。其主要内容包括水的开采、加工、输送、回收和利用等工艺和工 程， 通常由水资源与取水工程、 水处理工程和给水排水管道工程等部分组分。 给水排水工程的目的和任务，就是保证以安全使用、经济合理的工艺 与工程技术，合理开发和利用水资源，向城镇和工业供应各项合格用水，汇 集、输送、处理和再用利用污
