5、you have to eat all at the same time, youll never get it done. But if you start small one bite at a time you can master the thing in less than a week. Avoiding Twitter overload At times, you may become overwhelmed by all the information, content, friend requests, questions, comments, suggestions, an
6、d ideas that your followers are sharing on a consistent basis. This feeling has a name: It is called a social media overload or Twitter overload. Just dont let it get to the point of a brain hemorrhage or a heart attack! Time management and effective use of tools can help you keep your head above wa
7、ter. Like with any problem, you can always spot warning signs before the worst part hits you right in the face. Bam! You fall off the edge and get overwhelmed. When you become overwhelmed, your Twitter marketing and usage will fall down the tubes, and youll have no idea where to go from there. Youd

In that case, watch out for these symptoms in your quest for Twitter domination: Sleep deprivation: You may find yourself using Twitter at times not best suited to your sleep routine. Maybe you wake up in the middle of the night with the extreme urge to tweet som
9、ething absolutely ridiculous. A midnight tweet actually matters only when you have a dream you need someone to remember for you. But be honest, who really cares about your dream? Inbox overload: If your e-mail Inbox is overrun with Twitter requests, direct messages, and follower status updates, you
10、need to take a step back and reevaluate your use of your Inbox as a Twitter notification center. You can go about silencing Inbox overload for eternity in one of two ways: Set up a folder to catch all your incoming Twitter e-mail announcements, and then set aside a couple of minutes every day to go
11、through your Twitter folder. This separate folder keepsyoure your Twitter e-mail out of your Inbox so you dont open your Inbox and see a gazillion messages from Twitter, giving you a nervous breakdown. Turn off updates in the settings of your Twitter profile. To do this, click the Settings link at t

There are literally millions of people you can follow, so try to keep yourself from becoming obsessed. You can burn out from inform
16、ation overload and follower requests. Use your time management tools and calendar (discussed in the following section). You need to tweet on a constant but not too constant basis. Setting aside blocks of time To effectively manage your time, you need to block out certain parts of the day to accompli
17、sh certain tasks. The same rules apply to your Twitter and social-media usage. You can apply time blocks to any area of your business or personal life. The most important thing to remember is to stick to your schedule as closely as you can. Think of your typical work day. What happens throughout the
18、 day? You have to pick up the kids; file a report; more than likely, do some shopping; and above all, run a business. Because youre so busy, you need to block out time in your day during which you can accomplish your Twitter marketing plan. The optimal amount of time in your Twitter marketing time b
19、locks is between 15 and 30 minutes apiece. Dont set aside blocks of less than 15 minutes and never more than 30 minutes. If you start using Twitter for more than 30 minutes in the same time period, you can waste away hours with Twitter fun. Although you may be enjoying yourself, spending endless hou
20、rs on Twitter doesnt necessarily help you reach your Twitter marketing goals. Or if it helps you reach them, it is eating into the time you have previously allocated to other tasks in your business (or your life). The following list gives you tips on being productive with your Twitter time blocks: C
21、hoose the times for two 15- to 30-minute Twitter time blocks each day. You can choose to place the time blocks at the beginning and end of your day or during your lunch break. Add the time blocks to your calendar. Whether you use an electronic calendar, such as Outlook, or a written calendar, record your scheduled time blocks every day. Respect the time block! You wouldnt call a prospective client to reschedule a meeting because you needed to run to the store or pick up office supplies. The same rule applies for your Twitter time block. Did your grandfather always tell you that
