Small campus networks Design In most cases, network redundancy is not the top priority, but cost effectiveness is. Additional requirements of these designs typically include: (1) High performance and availability for bandwidth applications such as voice, video, and IP multicast (2) Shared Ethernet or FDDI building backbone which is running out of capacity (3) Support for applications based on Novell IPX, DECNET, AppleTalk, and SNA
