1、外文资料 SYSTEM OVERVIEW The DTS is a lost cost,computer controlled test system which is capable of testing a wide range of linear IC,s.The system is contained in a single cabinet and has a relatively small footprint.The major components of the DTS are: Motorola Micorosystems VME series computer Small p
2、rofile printer Instrumentataion card cage Power supply trays Hewlett Packard 3456A or 3458DVM 1.Motorola Microsystems Computers The VME/10 is a MC68010 based microcomputer built around the VMEbusarchitecture.Thetesters software runs under the VERSAdos operating system and the RMS68K real-time multit
3、asking kernel. The computer has 384K bytes of main memory ,a memory management unit,a real-time clock/calendar, and 5 slot VMEbus card cage.Also include are a double-side ,double-density floppy disk drive and a 40Mb hard disk.Added in the card cage are a GPIB controller board,a dual parallel board,a
4、 512Kb memory expansion board,and an instrumention bus controller. TheVMEsystem 1131 is a MC68020 based machine designed around a twelve slot VMEbus compatible cardcage. The system unit,16Kb of instruction cache,2Mb of ram ,and a mass storage unit that houses a 70Mb hard disk, 655Kb floppy disk,and
5、a 60Mb streaming tape drive.Added to this are a GPIB controller hard and an IBUS controller board and an IBUS controller board. The terminal used as the system console is a Motorola TM3000 terminal. On both computer systems, the tester software runs under the VERSAdos operating system and the RMS68K
6、 real-time multitasking kernel.The DTS environment is designed to look and operate the same on both systems. 2 Printer The printers is a small,Centronics compatible dot matrix printer.Its dimensions allow it to reside on an extendable shelf within the DTS cabinet.It is connected to the VME/10 throug
7、h one of the available parallel ports,or to the SYS1131 via one of the serial ports. 3 Instrumentation Card Rack Most of the tester instrumentation is installed in the upper portion of the DTS cabinet . The card rack can hold up to sixteen test instrument cards: DC measurement system board Test head
8、 matrix board Voltage source and nanoammeter board Audio voltmeter board Control and measure bits board Time measurement board Handler or prober control board Audio source board Eight voltage and current source boards The card rack also contains an analog and a digital backplane for controlling each
9、 module.The digital backplane is connected to the computer via the IBUS cabling. The power V/I source is a special instrument that ,when installed in the system ,is mounted inside the back door as opposed to being in the card rack. 3.1 The measurement board Card slot one contains the measurement boa
10、rd.The measurement boardis a differential DC voltmeter with a maximum input voltage of +65V to -65V.The measurement board has three measurement ranges,65V,20V,and 2V. 3.2 The cross point matrix board Card slot two holds the cross point matrix board.The cross matrix board consists of three sections:a
11、 timer interval generator,a sixteen input measurement matrix,The time interval generator is used to time and control program waits in the DTS system.The measurement matrix is input matrix for the measurement board.It provides sixteen that can be used to connect the measurement board to different mea
12、surement points on the load board. 3.3 The voltage source/nanoammeters(vs/na) board Provides eight individually programmable voltage sources capable of forcing voltages from -65V DC to +65V DC at currents up to 10mA.Voltage sources one through four also have built in current measurement capability.T
13、he VS/NA board is located in card slot three of the instrument card rack.。 The VS/NA board has two voltage forcing ranges.65V DS and 10V DC.and has two current measurentmentranges,a 20uA range ang a 2uA range. 3.4 The audio voltmeter(AVM) board Card solt four holds the audio voltmeter board,which pr
14、ovides the capability of measuring AC signals in the audio frequency range.The AVM board provides DC suppression and filtering of the input signal,and has an input frequence range of 50HZ and 100KHZ.The AVM has six voltmeter ranges:16,4,1.6,0.4,0.1,and 0.025V RMS,and the following user selectable fi
15、lters: Highpass:50HZ,300HZ,and 3KHZ Bandpass:None,1KHZ,10KHZ,19KHZ,38KHZ,and Distortion 3.5 The CBITS/MBITS board Card solt five contains the CBITS/MBITS board,which provides 32 control lines to the performance board,and 16 read-back bits(MBITS) form the performance board. 3.6 The large timer board
16、The large timer board is located in card slot six,and is used to measure the elapsed time between two events,or to count the number of events which occurred during a known time interval. 3.7 The handler control board The handler control board provides the interface between the DTS and the device han
17、dler or prober.Itreceives a start test signal from the handler when a decice is sitting in the handlers contacts and is ready for testing.After testing has been completed,the handler control board provides a bin result and the end of test signal to the handler. 3.8 Audio source board Card slot eight
18、 contains the audio source board,which is a programmable waveform generator capable of producing arbitrary waveforms from -30V to +30V in the amplitude. 3.9 The voltage/current source(VI) board The VI board are installed in card slots nine through sixteen,and provide voltages of from -65V to +65V DC
19、 with current limiting from -200mA to +200mA. 4 .Power Supply Trays The system power supplies are located in the base of the cabinet on two extendable trays.These supplies are powered by the standard 110V,30A service that runs the DTS.They provide various DC voltages from +5V to +/-75V. 5. Hewlett P
20、ackard 3456A or 3458 DVM The Hewlett Packard DVM is used primarily as the calibration standard for the DTS.The Motorola calibration lab verifys the performance of the meter as a working standard and it is placed inside the tester cabinet .It is controlled by the computer via the GPIB controller The DVM is also available to user programs as a standard GPIB
